On initial sync with Harvest we will import all Harvest resources to Price&Cost.

This means we will create an equivallent entity in Price&Cost for every Harvest team member and will specify:

  • Their Name
  • Their Role
  • Their Price rate
  • Their Cost rate
  • Any client specific price rates we can find

Resource roles

We will pick up the Roles you've set for a particular team member in Harvest:

As Roles is a multiple tag field in Harvest - we will pick up the first role defined and create the same Role in Price&Cost. If no Role is defined in Harvest, we will create a role in the following format Harvest (Team member's name)for example Harvest (Jefim Borissov).

Resource price rate

We will pick up the Billable rate set for a particular
team member in Harvest:

If Billable rate is not defined for a resource in Harvest - we will not be able to set it in Price&Cost

Resource cost rate

We will pick up the Cost rate set for a particular
team member in Harvest:

If Cost rate is not defined for a resource in Harvest - we will not be able to set it in Price&Cost

Resource client-specific rates

Price&Cost allows you to define more than just one rate-card. You can set client-specific rates alongside default rates.

If, when creating a project in Harvest, you've done one of the following, we will create client-specific rate for the resources:

  • overvridden the default Hourly Rates for a resource
  • selected Project Hourly rate under Hourly Rates in Harvest
  • selected Task Hourly rate under Hourly Rates in Harvest
